Having explored Jack by interacting with reality, buying personal items and collecting props I started to view him as my shadow. Once he was fully understood as a mode of being I decided he was too destructive and should be contained. In 2012 as part of my ‘Notes from the Unterwelt’ cycle I had written a script for a magick ritual as part of a traditional performance piece. I decided now was the time to complete the project. This would involve two parts, the first was to make all the items needed for the performance by crafting a set of magickal weapons and to conduct the ritual. Unlike a traditional performance piece there is no documentary evidence to prove it happened, if it ever did at all. The second was to bury the 'Notes' deep within my website. As the subject matter is occult in nature and highly personalised I decided to embed it within my esoteric archive. It is therefore hidden and can only be found if looked for.
